San Ludovico Oratory

Our venues change according the size and character of the project, but the association runs with continuity the San Ludovico Oratory, a small church, that was originally (XVI century) part of an institution built to host twelve elderly men without wives or children. Nuova Icona rediscovered the Oratorio in 1996, wrapped in deep oblivion under fabulous, huge cobwebs. The Oratorio under the artistic direction of Nuova Icona has been given a new purpose that conserves its original character of a spiritual space.

The Oratorio belongs to the historical heritage of IRE, Venice.
